You are warmly invited to help develop a clearer vision of our Sufi Center of Austin that will feed the hearts of our beloveds, as well as carry out the mission given to us by our beloved guide, Sidi al-Jamal. Author, consultant and USHS faculty member Hamid Paul Werder will lead us in a weekend dedicated to creating a positive momentum for our Austin community. The agenda will include:
- How to transition from our Old Reality to the New Reality that is Emerging
- Sufi Walking as the Son or Daughter of your Moment
- Building Unity through Self-Responsibility, Turning our Hearts to Allah
- Unleashing the Creativity within the Group Heart
- Taking Care of Concerns as a Holder of Allah’s Light
- Alignment to a One Year Vision within an Agreed Upon Structure
To cover our costs for the weekend, a donation of $50 per day is suggested. No one will be turned away due to ability to pay.
Time: Registration starts at 8:30am;
Al-Wird at 9:00am; and
Teachings run from 9:30am to 5:30pm
Plan to bring your lunch in order to spend time together on site and discuss ideas. There are restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance as well. Closed or sealed lids are requested for any beverages brought in. There is a refrigerator to store food, however, no stove.
Please note that we won’t have childcare or a separate space available for children at this site.
